With a few ui elements added for enhancement. It looked so advanced because it's revolutionary but I personally don't think the tool used is as advanced as his demo made it out to be. Also somebody has duplicated the basic functionality already it seems
http://danielchasehooper.github.io/CodeBook/Sam Josephhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10788506730233381803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9148683707845127605.post-7372881594865999002012-10-06T02:15:59.712-07:002012-10-06T02:15:59.712-07:00I wonder if http://pythontutor.com would pass must...I wonder if http://pythontutor.com would pass muster with Bret as a learning tool matching some of his vision?Sam Josephhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10788506730233381803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9148683707845127605.post-10526050478867993122012-10-03T06:27:38.190-07:002012-10-03T06:27:38.190-07:00Looks like this might be more acceptable to Bret&#...Looks like this might be more acceptable to Bret's immune system: http://pythontutor.com/Sam Josephhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10788506730233381803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9148683707845127605.post-32510691393684481862012-10-02T14:02:29.710-07:002012-10-02T14:02:29.710-07:00Hi Frank. I'd be surprised to find he was using Processing since he so roundly condemns its flaws in the post. I'll have to look more closely at Tango - superficially it seems to only support text based stuff ...Sam Josephhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10788506730233381803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9148683707845127605.post-35731087733947501412012-09-30T06:42:25.501-07:002012-09-30T06:42:25.501-07:00"I just wish I knew what he is using to make ..."I just wish I knew what he is using to make his interface demos."

I suspect it's a combination of his JavaScript library Tangle to provide interaction for the code itself and processing.js to use the code to draw shapes on the right. (The code as shown draws the green shapes, and he probably has "hidden" Processing code to draw the graphical elements in red on top of the shapes.)Frank Heckerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09677849594562500648noreply@blogger.com
